I graduate from South Dakota State University with a degree in Family and Consumer Science and a minor in early childhood education. I worked as a Food and Nutrition Specialist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  We then moved to Ohio where I taught early childhood education for 7 years. Fairmont became our home in 1993.  I taught at GHEC for 7 years and have been principal at SJV school for seven years.  I received my Master’s Degree from University of Minnesota, Mankato.  My husband Joe and I have three children - Jen, Greg, and Lisa. We have one beautiful granddaughter, Molly. 

Raised on a farm outside of Freeborn, MN, I graduated from Freeborn High School in 1986.  I received my undergraduate degree from St. Johns University in 1990 and my graduate studies found me attending St. Paul Seminary.  I was ordained to the priesthood on June 13, 1995.  Being an associate pastor at St. John's in Rochester and St. Mary's in Worthington, my first assignment as pastor was Lewiston, Altura, and Wilson with my second being in Jackson, Sherburn, and Lakefield.  I was appointed pastor of Fairmont and East Chain on July 1, 2010.

Hi.  My name is Ann Gibeau.   I am excited to be teaching at St. John Vianney.  I grew up in Iowa and graduated from Okoboji High School in 1993.  I went on to college and graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA in 1997 with a BA degree in Elementary Education with a reading endorsement. I taught eight years at Forest Ridge in Estherville, IA before coming to SJV.   I currently live in Ceylon, MN with my husband, John.  We have two sons who are attending St. John Vianney School and a daughter that is one year-old.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA.  My husband, Dave, and I have a daughter and a son.
 

Hi! I’m Jen Slaughter, a 1985 graduate of Fairmont High School.  I attended college from 1985-1989 at Mankato State University on a golf scholarship.  I graduated from MSU with a BS degree in Elementary Education.  I am teaching kindergarten, a dream of mine since I was a little girl!!  I enjoy walking, reading, biking, the sun, sudoku puzzles and cheering on my two boys, Derek and Dustin at their sporting events.

I was born and raised in Fairmont.  I went to the University of Waseca and graduated with an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Pre-Kindergarten.  From there, I went to the University of Minnesota at Mankato and received a BS degree in Elementary Education with concentration in Kindergarten.  I received my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Catherine College.  I enjoy Spending my extra time walking, reading a good book and of course, spending time with my family.  My husband, Paul, and I have 3 children;  Andrea, Mackenzie, and Daniel.

My name is Karen Sandhurst and my education includes attending a one-room country school for grades 1-6, a Catholic school in New Ulm for grades 7-12, and then Winona State University.  There I earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood, graduating in 1980.  I’ve been teaching in a Catholic school ever since.  I married Ron Sandhurst in 1982 and we have 3 children -- Adam, Kimberly, and Brent.  I completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at St. Catherine’s College in St. Paul, MN in 2003.  

I attended Mankato State University.  I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a math concentration.  I have been teaching at SJV since 1997.  My husband is David.

Hello!  My name is Sarah Striemer.  I graduated from Blue Earth Area High School in 1996.  I attended college at the University of Minnesota-St. Paul until Dec. 2000.  I then transferred to Minnesota State University-Mankato where I earned my BS in Elementary Education.  I did my student teaching in Houston, Texas in a 5th grade classroom.  I subbed at many schools, including SJV.  I knew this was the place for me the second I walked through the door!   I have been married to my wonderful husband Jay for 3 years.  We have 2 little boys, Isaac and Gabriel.  I enjoy doing things outside, music, laughing, reading, and cooking.

My hometown is Luverne, Minnesota.  I went to college in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Augustana College.  I graduated in 1980 with degrees in Elementary Education and Theatre.

Hi! My name is Brenda Noll.  I was born and raised in Worthington, MN.  I graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in English.  My husband (Andy) and I have been married for 18 years and have two sons, Eric and Ryan.  In my free time I like to read, go for walks, listen to music, play piano, and watch my children in their sporting, speech, and music events.

I attended college at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall where I graduated with a BS degree in Elementary Education for grades K-6.  My husband, Mike and I have three children who are attending SJV.

I received my degree in Music Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.  I have had great experiences teaching in the communities my husband has been assigned to as a United Methodist Pastor.  Tony and I have four children.  Our two oldest, Betsy and David, are married and live in Duluth and Rochester.  Our two other children are Ben and Joe are at Fairmont High School.

Katie McConnell

Mr. Ron Sandhurst

I graduated from Fulda High School in 1974.  I operated a construction and cabinet shop in Fulda till 1980 with 2 cousins and an uncle.  I moved to Fairmont and was employed by Tech Builders as a finishing carpenter, working mainly on cabinets and trim.  I received my boiler license from Jackson Tech and began working at St. John Vianney in 1984.  Over the past years, I upgraded my boiler license to Chief C. Engineer, which is the highest license classification available in Minnesota.  I also am certified to manage and maintain asbestos contained materials and management plans for the state of Minnesota
