Third Grade Classroom News

August/September

    Welcome to the beginning of the school year at St. John Vianney School!  Thank you for purchasing the appropriate items from the school supply list.  Please remember that five books need to have book covers.  Students may use covers provided by the school.  If you choose to buy them, please buy the largest size.

    During the first days, we will spend time discussing and understanding our classroom rules and procedures.  I will explain our weekly schedule.  We will discuss homework.  The students will have homework during the year.  It is usually due the next day, and it should be handed in right away in the morning.  Some projects are assigned with days given to complete it.  Please talk with your child each school day to discuss if he/she has homework.  Please take the time to check their backpacks and go through their folder with them on a regular basis.  Your child will need your support to meet their homework responsibilities.  Thank you for taking the time to do these important things!  Please look for newsletters and important information in your Friday folder.
