Dear
SJV Families,
Thank you to the 3rd graders from
WE MADE OUR
The 6th graders enjoyed their Lock In which was held on October 9th.
They were able to roller skate in the hall and the gym, they played lots of
games, they had manicures, ordered pizza, and got very little sleep. Mrs.
Swanson said it was the best lock in-ever. Way to go 6th
graders!!! Thank you to John Anthony, Michele Ehlert, Angela Gerken, Jeff
Nelson, and Elizabeth Shimon for chaperoning!
I want to thank all of you who have been attending the Strategic Parish Planning
Meetings. It is so important that everyone gives their input. We
have a wonderful school and parish and we need to all work hard so both will get
better and better. I heard the Faith Formation group came up with some
great suggestions for the Parish Council. I was in the Stewardship group
and we had good ideas also. I have lived in many places and I would put
our school up against any in the nation. We are awesome!! We
all need to be willing to step up and help promote the school and parish so we
can be here for years to come.
Our 5th graders are visiting Goldfinch Estates on Thursday, October
22nd and painting pumpkins with the residents and the 2nd
graders will be visiting the Lutz Wing on Friday, October 30 in the Halloween
costumes and singing Halloween songs. This is an important project for all
involved.
Remember to come to our Pancake and Sausage Breakfast on Sunday, October 25th
from 9 AM – Noon in the school cafeteria. The KCs are doing this
fundraiser to earn money to pay for the internet at the school. There will
be a free will offering.
The sixth grade class is having fundraisers this year to raise money for their
trip to Eagle Bluff. The first is a spaghetti feed on Sunday, November 1st
from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM in St. Theresa’s Hall. On Friday, November 6,
their will be a movie night sponsored by the 6th graders. More
details to come later.
Thank you to those who have sent in a container of Clorox wipes so we can keep
the classrooms as safe and clean as possible. If you have not sent one in
please consider doing so. We want to keep everyone healthy.
Have
a great long weekend.
God’s
Blessings,
Joan
