Dear
SJV Families,
The school Christmas program was awesome last night. A special thanks to
Mrs. Joleen Fink, all SJV teachers, SJV students and all “behind the scenes
people” including Linda Lutterman and parents for helping to put on a
wonderful program. It was great to see all the students singing
about the true reason for the season. We are so blessed at SJV.
What a blizzard that was on Wednesday!! I am sure the children are
excited about all the snow so remember to send all their gear so they stay warm
when out for recess. We do not go outside if the temperature or windchill
is below zero.
We would like to welcome to our school Adam Grocholski who is in 3rd
grade. Janusz ,Agnes, and Adam have moved to
Monday, Mrs. Schiltz and the 3rd grade class will have the Advent
Prayer service at 8:40 AM, in the gym. Please
come and join us if you can. It is a great way to start the week and is
heartwarming. The students always do a good job.
The students are able to roller skate through Thursday of next week. If
you can come help with getting students into the skates and gear, please come
any morning, Monday thru Thursday between 9:45-11:00 AM. Thank you.
Our Spelling Bee will be held Tuesday, at 1:00 PM. The students had
preliminary rounds this week in their English classes and these are the
finalist: 5th graders are Bailey Dulas, Maddie Hennager, Tony
Joseph, , Evangeline Petrowiak, and Mikayla Soelter; 6th graders
include Sophie Brau, Steven Bulfer, Kaitlyn Cihoski, Hayley Fogelson, Anagha
Komaragiri, Sydney Leichtnam, Darren McMurtry, Marisa Nelson, and Noah Quiring.
This year’s Geography Bee will be held on Friday, January 8th at 1:30 PM in
the Gym. Please join us for this event if your schedule permits.
The 5th grade went to Goldfinch this week to help the residents decorate
Christmas cookies. The 3rd and 4th graders will visit Ingleside
on Friday, December 18th from 1:15 PM -2:35 PM. This is nice for both
students and residents.
Help!!! Help!!! We are in desperate need for a Concession Chairperson.
Basketball games are for about 6 weeks in January and February. This is
always a good money maker for the school. It would be a shame to have
games and no concessions. Please consider this!!!
Catholic Schools Week will be here before we know it. We are planning to
have the Variety Show on Friday, February 5th but we are in need of a
chairperson. Would any of you be willing to do this for the school?
It’s a fun way to earn points. Let me know.
Just a reminder to all parents that if you bring your child to school after
school begins, you must come in with them and sign them in. Also if you
are taking them out of school before the end of the day, you need to come in and
sign them out. Thank you for your cooperation with this important matter.
We need to keep our students safe.
The 2nd graders are making their first Reconciliation on Saturday at
10:00 AM. Please pray for Macey Bearson, Daniel Betts, Shelby Fogelson,
