Dear
SJV Families,
Last night was a wonderful fine art’s festival with such a huge crowd.
The music was outstanding and we had lots of songs for “All God’s
Critters“. We definitely have some very talented students. I want
to thank Mrs. Fink and Mrs. Fogelson for their hard work and dedication in
organizing this art festival and to the classroom teachers in PreK-6th
for their help. Also thank you to Emily Izen for being the accompanist.
Bless her for taking the time for the rehearsals.
The end of the school year is fast approaching. If you still need some
“Points for Parents”, we will be having Parent Work Night on May 6th.
If this does not work out for you, call the office as we can get you something
you can do at home. Remember you will be charged $2 a point if you
haven’t reached your 100 points by the end of the school year. Thank you
to all parents who have helped this year and easily exceeded the 100 points.
Time has come for the students to take the last NWEA tests of the year. We
will be testing Monday-Wednesday of the next two weeks. Research has shown
that students who have a good night sleep and eat a good breakfast do better on
tests. Thanks for helping with this.
On Wednesday, we are taking the 4th-6th graders to the
play “Vianney” at
Our 6th graders are taking their trip to the State Capitol on
Thursday, April 29th. I am excited to be going along this year and am sure
we will have a great time. I sure hope the weather cooperates.
The SJV School Endowment Dinner is Monday, April 26th. The Endowment
supports SJV school financially every year. This year they gave the school
about $50,000!! We appreciate all they do so we can keep the tuition
as low as possible. It is important
that our school families show their support. Please come if you
possibly can and you will also hear some wonderful entertainment by our 6th
grade students at SJV school.
Ron Sandhurst wants you to know that DVDs of first communion, the spring
program, and confirmation are available for $5.00. Just let the school
know if you wish to purchase one or more of these. Thank you, Ron!!
Our Scholastic Book Fair is starting Monday, May 3rd and will last through
Friday, May 7th. It will be held in the west end of the gym. The
book fair will be open before school, during the lunch hours, and after school.
There is a sign up sheet in your Friday folder to help during these times.
We would not be able to offer this without your help. We appreciate all
the help we can get.
Thank you to all the

considering either committee.
Today was the end of the midterm for the fourth quarter. The student’s
